Friday Noontime Recitals at St. Andrew’s Church

The New Classical FM is the official radio sponsor of St. Andrew’s Church’s Friday Noontime Recitals.

February 2 – May 31, 2024

Music at St. Andrew’s popular recital series returns on February 2! Experience great, mostly classical music in the tranquil sanctuary of historic St. Andrew’s Church each Friday noontime. The 50-minute recitals feature topflight performers: post-graduate music students, rising young stars and veteran performers. St. Andrew’s Church is located is at King & Simcoe Streets, opposite Roy Thomson Hall. Recitals start at 12:10 p.m. Admission is free but donations welcome.

Feb. 2              

Emerald Sun, clarinet; Hee-Soo Yoon, violin; Rosalind Zhang, cello; Jean-Luc Therrien, piano:  Messiaen, Quartet for the End of Time.  

Feb. 9              

Jordan Klapman, piano and vocalist Shelley Hamilton. Classic Jazz,
Gospel, soul and R&B songs in honour of Black History month.

Note: this recital is a teaser for Music at Andrew’s Black History: Songs & Stories concert on February 23rd at 7:30 p.m.
