The top level of a Kensington Market parking lot is the venue for Up Darling 4, the enterprising site specific dance series produced by Aimée Dawn Robinson and Barbara Lindenberg.

In the parking lot itself, Lindenberg’s Crossing mirrors the flight of birds, with the actual birds wheeling in the air above. Her Unbroken is a circle dance of beats and variations. The car theme is found in Allison Peacock’s film duet with a 1979 Trans Am, and Robinson’s filmed solo inside her Ford Econoline.

The cleverly named Vantage Point, created and performed by Mairead Filgate and Meredith Thompson, is on the roof top of Cobb’s Bakery, several buildings away. Much of the dance is in sync, or mirror images, and clothed in white, the dancers are contrasted with the dark roof tiles around them.

It is a concert of attractive dances and dancers.
