Montreal-based Madeleine Thien has has won the $100-thousand Scotiabank Giller Prize.
The Vancouver-born author received the award at a gala ceremony last night in Toronto for her for her novel “Do Not Say We Have Nothing.”
The novel recently won the 25-thousand-dollar Governor General’s Literary Award for fiction. The novel was also shortlisted for the prestigious Man Booker Prize.
